Group H is pretty much wide open outside of Japan. Columbia, Poland, and Senegal all have a shot of advancing. I have Poland and Columbia advancing.
Most of the Poland squad is solid if unspectacular. There is, however, one huge exception. Robert Lewandowski. Despite a relative down year for Bayern Munich, the Polish striker is still one of the best in the world. This individual excellence should be enough for Poland to find their way into the knockouts.
For Columbia, Arsenal keeper David Ospina will man the net with Tottenham youngster Davinson Sanchez anchoring the defense. James Rodriguez will run things from the midfield and wily vet Radamel Falcao will be up top.
Senegal is like Poland in the sense that an otherwise unspectacular squad is built around a spectacular player in Liverpool ace Sadio Mane. Unfortunately for Senegal, he’s not as good as Lewandowski, so Senegal will not advance.
