Group E is the group of the Americas. I know Serbia and Switzerland and are not in the Americas, HOWEVA Brazil and Costa Rica are also in this group. I think Brazil and Costa Rica will be the two teams to make it out of this group.
The first team to talk about is Brazil. This Brazilian team has very high expectations and most of the burden will fall on Neymar. Before I talk about Neymar, let’s talk about the rest of this team. Ederson had a fantastic season with Manchester City as a shot stopper as well as a distributer from the back. The backline in front of Ederson is going to be a very good one as well. It will most likely consist of Marcelo, Thiago Silva, Miranda and Filipe Luis. We all know the type of quality those four players bring, but they also bring tons of experience and veteran leadership. The midfield of Brazil will be very solid defensively with players like Casemiro, who has been a staple in Real Madrid’s lineup for a few years now. The attack of this team will be absolutely deadly. When a team has players like Coutinho, Neymar, Firmino and Jesus, they are bound to score tons of goals. Moving on, Neymar has plenty to prove in this tournament. It is time for Neymar to show that he can be the leader of this Brazil team and he has plenty of help around him.
The country that will finish second is Costa Rica. Costa Rica has been very good in past tournaments and Switzerland has not. Costa Rica has a strong goalkeeper in Keylor Navas who will be trusted to bail them out, but he has proven he can do just that. While Switzerland may have a better all-around team and better individual players, they never seem to really play up to potential. For that reason, I have Costa Rica making it out of the group with Argentina.
