The starting goaltender for the surging Vegas Golden Knights, who are currently on top of the Western Conference standings, makes his return to his former home the PPG Arena, which is the home of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Marc-Andre Fleury who is 15-4-2 this season will look to keep up his stellar play tonight against his former teammates. Fleury is a having a great season for the Knights; he has an impressive 1.84 Goals Against Average, a .939 Save Percentage, and is leading his team to a surprising 35-13-4 overall record. It will be an emotional night for “Flower” who played 13 seasons with the Pens and won three Stanley Cups in that time. Fleury said, “It’s been coming…I always say, ‘I’m going to think about the next game before there’s another one’. But now we’re there and it’s going to be lots of mixed emotions”. This is not the first time Fleury has faced his former team; Pittsburgh visited Las Vegas earlier this season and were beaten by the Fleury and the Knights 2-1. We can all expect there to be a video tribute to Fleury’s contributions on and off the ice. Also, Fleury will be receiving his 2017 Stanley Cup Championship Ring from owner Mario Lemieux. “I’m looking forward to it…I’ve been thinking about it for a while. It will be fun”.
