The New Jersey Devils will face off against the New York Islanders tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Entering tonight, the New Jersey Devils are riding a six-game losing streak and a subpar (4-3-3) record in their last ten games. The Devils have been awful on the road as of late winning only three out of their last ten road games. The Devils currently sit third place in the Metropolitan division, only a point behind the Columbus Blue Jackets with four games in hand. The Devils need to capitalize on their games in hand to make their postseason dreams obtainable.Taking two points from the New York Islanders will be no easy task as the Islanders are riding a three-game win streak heading into tonight’s bout. The Islanders have been strong at home holding a (13-5-3) record at the Barclays Center. Lead by John Tavares and Mathew Barzal, the Islanders have one of the most high-powered group of forwards in the league. For the Devils to take two points tonight they will need to attack the Islander's weak defense and goaltending. Puck drops tonight at 7pm ET.
