Dez Bryant is officially a free agent, from what it seems was an ugly breakup with the Cowboys. Now that he is a free man here are the possible teams he could end up with.
The Eagles are the most desirable spot for a star like Dez Bryant. Dez has been vocal about wanting to stay in the division and would be put in the best situation with Carson Wentz and the reigning Super Bowl Champs. With other threats like Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor, teams could not afford to double cover Dez Bryant and would become the new #1 deep threat for Carson Wentz. Throw up the X on the back of the Wentz Wagon.
New York Giants
The threat of Odell Beckham and Dez Bryant would be a lethal pass attack, and it could even become a 3-headed monster if the Giants decide to draft Penn State RB Saquon Barkley in the draft. Eli Manning would have playmakers all over the field and it would really take a lot of pressure off the 15-year vet.
The Redskins heard Dez Bryant loud and clear when they heard he would be open to staying in the division. They have the option of breaking the bank to acquire the former Cowboy and giving Alex Smith an elite weapon on offense. On the other hand, CB, Josh Norman and Dez Bryant have an unsettled history and it would definitely be interesting to see if they would cooperate if the Redskins pursue Bryant.
The Panthers are a team that is ALWAYS in need of better wide receivers. Sometimes is looks like the best wide receiver on the team is Christian McCaffery. A star talent such as Dez Bryant would be an extreme help to that offense and would really take the Panthers to the next level.
The Ravens have reportedly expressed interest in the star WR and are actively pursuing him. The issue that is presented is whether Dez is interested in the Ravens and if they can come to terms on a reasonable contract. The Ravens have already obtained WR Michael Crabtree this offseason, but still do not have enough depth at the position. There other receivers are Breshad Perriman, John Brown, DeVier Posey, Chris Moore, and Tim White; so Dez Bryant would be a significant upgrade at the position.
New England Patriots
Never count out the Pats. That’s a lesson I learn every single season and it even applies in the offseason. The Patriots lost Danny Amendola to free agency, traded away Brandin Cooks, Julian Edelman is coming off of a torn ACL, and Gronk is still contemplating retirement. In addition to their two first round picks, the Patriots could rectify the situation by signing a top wide receiver like Dez Bryant.
