The battle for Los Angeles is here! The Chargers take the short trip to LA Memorial Coliseum to play the best team in football, but don’t count them out just yet. The Chargers beat themselves week one in a rivalry game against the Chiefs with dropped passes and terrible special teams. They followed up by beating the Bills so bad that they ended that coward, Vontae Davis’ career. On the other hand, the Rams took care of business with the Raiders, and decimated the Cardinals 34-0.
The keys for the Chargers to win this game is the offensive line giving Rivers time to make plays, and for the defense to not give up big plays to Branden Cooks like they did with Tyreek Hill week 1. Philip Rivers has been playing at a high level the first two weeks and is expected to continue his success with his newly trusted weapon, Mike Williams and all the other weapons that surround him. But like I said, it is all contingent on if the offensive line can keep Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh away from him.
As a Chargers fan, I’ve seen it all. I’ve seen 24-point leads blown, too many choked field goals to lose games, even Ray Rice converting a 4th and 29 on a screen pass… The one constant that I have learned from the Chargers is, win or lose, they will always keep the game close. I cannot say the Chargers will win the game, but I can tell you I really like Chargers +7½.
