The Rams are coming off a strong 2017 season where they proved that they are the team to beat in the NFC West. Their busy offseason begs the question: Are they the team to beat in the NFC?
The Rams have had a very strong offseason by bolstering their defensive talents with trades to acquire CBs Aqib Talib, Marcus Peters, and the free agency signing of DT Ndamukong Suh. Now that they improved the defense to complement their high-powered offense I believe that they can compete with any team in the league. A lethal defensive line with Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh, dominant corners, Aqib Talib and Marcus holding down the secondary, and Jared Goff and Todd Gurley dominating on the other side of the ball. This talent has all been accumulated a month before the draft where they can still fill up any positions they believe needs even more improvement.
Coming off an 11-5 playoff season with rookie coach, Sean McVay, an improvement in the roster creates the expectation that this team is ready to make a deep run in the playoffs and a chance at a Super Bowl.
